Sophie Turns ONE | First Birthday Photoshoot | Denver Baby Photographers

Happy first birthday to Sophie!! This little girl is a ray of sunshine! She seriously has so much personality and my camera and I absolutely love it! It had been almost a year since I first met Sophie. I actually photographed her while she was still in her mom's belly for their maternity photos, then again when Sophie was just born for her newborn photo's! It wasn't until just before Christmas I saw her again for my Holiday minis. She had gotten so big and gave me such a chuckle with her big smile! This girl is NOT shy!! A few months later, mom and dad scheduled for her to have her first Birthday photoshoot with my milestone collection! I was so excited to see them and Sophie again, and of course capture this little girl for her very special day!

Since it was January, and the risk of cold weather and snow are a high probability, everyone opted for an indoor photoshoot. P.S. this is always an option, no matter what time of year it is or what the weather will be like! I have some beautiful natural light studio options across the Denver and Boulder areas, and the possibilities are endless! I encourage you to bring your own ideas and props to make it unique for your kiddo's personality, no matter what type of session we are having :) I am always happy to help with your vision as well!

Ashley had the cutest ideas for her daughter Sophie, and I just adore all the pink!! She even made the cake herself! Sophie loved it, as you can see haha! I've got to say- this is one of the best cake smashes I have ever seen! Most of the time the kid doesn't even know what to do with the cake, or maybe sticks one finger in it then is over it. Parents end up "faking it" by spreading frosting on their faces, it's cute, the photo's come out great, then we're done. Not Sophie, this girl was going to town with this cake! Literally would not stop eating it. It is very rare that I had even see another baby do this. Entertaining would be an understatement! I was almost in tears laughing at how cute Sophie was, all her facial expressions, and how her parents had to literally pull her away from her cake!

You go girl!! We got the best pictures of her first Birthday session and one happy, frosting faced baby to prove it!!!
