The S Family | Summer Family Photoshoot in Colorado | Denver Photographers

I remember meeting and photographing little Kai as a few-day-old newborn a few years back. Now, I get to document him becoming a big brother! I just love my job and have the absolute best clients! I couldn't be more excited for the S family who will be welcoming baby #2 this winter! We just had to document their adorable family one last time before adding a new member to the mix!

When I photographed their first newborn session, shortly after becoming a family of three, big fur brother Sully was a big part of those photos. Well, he may be getting up there in age, but we had to include him in these family photos too! This dog is just the sweetest, loves his family to death, and it wouldn't be a family portrait without him. I'm so happy he's hanging around (and well enough) for at LEAST one more professional family session.

Sure, SULLY loved being outdoors at a new spot and roaming around in nature with his family, Kai on the other hand wasn't too sure about family photos. In true toddler fashion, he was over it in about 2.5 seconds. That's when we start to play! I had this busy boy going on a rock hunt, being thrown in the air, upside down, flying like an airplane, up on dads shoulders, and even tried to get him to show me mom's belly when he tried to raise her dress we all laughed, then he showed me his. Kids can be an absolute blast to photograph, sometimes we just need to change the course of action and let them be in charge :)

We captured some truly beautiful and unforgettable moments for this expecting family! I will cherish these sessions always! And I can't wait to meet the newest member of the S family so soon!
